In a statewide address on Thursday, the acting governor acknowledged the recent political challenges that had gripped the state, emphasizing the need to overcome past conflicts and unite for the state’s development. He called for genuine support, cooperation, and dedication from all members of the Ondo State government to propel the governor’s envisioned mission.

Aiyedatiwa expressed optimism, stating, “Yesterday is already behind us. Addressing the temporary delay caused by recent political crises, Aiyedatiwa emphasized the importance of stakeholders coming together to work for the people and deliver on the mandate given to the government. He called for a collective effort to return quickly to the path of progress, free from unnecessary distractions.

In a post shared on his official X account on Monday, Shehu reacted to reports suggesting that only a small fraction of the Nigerian Army’s 2025 budget for security equipment has been released.

He stated that although over ₦20 billion was approved for the procurement of security equipment, only about ₦1.7 billion—roughly 7 percent—has reportedly been disbursed so far.
