The senator selected one beneficiary from each of the eight local government areas constituting the senatorial district. Notably, Katung had recently extended scholarships to over 200 students from higher institutions across the eight local government areas.
During the event, represented by the former Kaduna State Commissioner for Commerce, Mr. Edward Marsha, Senator Katung reiterated his commitment to fostering inclusiveness and integration of persons with disabilities within the senatorial district. He expressed his dedication to involving them in his activities, recognizing the historical marginalization and neglect often faced by persons with disabilities.
Katung urged the community to uphold lawfulness and assured ongoing efforts to lobby for significant projects benefitting the senatorial district.
Acknowledging the senator’s support, Mr. Habila Achi, Chairman of the Southern Kaduna Association of Persons with Disabilities, appreciated the inclusion of persons with disabilities in the list of recipients for the three-month Federal Government palliatives.
In a keynote address, Salome Net, the Executive Director of Heart to Heart Inclusive Education Foundation, emphasized the collective effort required for achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and highlighted the challenges faced by persons with disabilities, including discrimination, stigmatization, and inadequate accessibility to infrastructure, education, employment, and healthcare.
Gideon Haruna, the Centre Manager of Disability Affairs Centre Kafanchan, stressed the need for support and care for people with disabilities. He called for the assistance of well-meaning individuals to aid the center, as many students face challenges due to the lack of facilities.

“HE HAD NEVER TREATED ME THAT WAY”: Hanga Breaks Silence On The Toxic Fallout With Kwankwaso.
Senator Rufai Sani Hanga (Kano Central) has detailed the breakdown of his political relationship with Rabiu Kwankwaso, the NDC vice-presidential candidate, in an interview with Dan’uwa Rano TV.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The rift largely stemmed from Hanga’s massive constituency empowerment program, where he distributed vehicles, rice, fertilizers, and other items. According to Hanga, Kwankwaso grew unhappy with his rising public profile and the scale of the initiatives. Tensions peaked when Hanga hosted the distribution event at a venue associated with Kwankwaso; though the former governor initially agreed to attend, he arrived looking displeased, left for prayers, and never returned.
Hanga recounted that Kwankwaso later confronted him, complaining that the event was designed to court public praise and dismissing the small portion of items allocated to him. Despite Hanga apologizing, he felt deeply disrespected—especially after previous instances where Kwankwaso pressured him to allocate empowerment resources outside his senatorial district.
Concluding that mutual respect had vanished and that Kwankwaso’s dissatisfaction ultimately cost him his return ticket, Hanga remarked, “He has treated others this way, but he had never done it to me until that moment.”

DOOMED TO REPEAT IT? The Brutal Truth About Why Opposition Parties Must Merge Before 2027.
Former African Democratic Congress (ADC) chieftain and public affairs analyst Salihu Lukman has warned that a fragmented opposition will inadvertently secure victory for the incumbent, urging opposition forces to rally behind a single consensus candidate ahead of the January 16, 2027, presidential election against President Bola Tinubu.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
In a weekend statement emphasizing that “division is a choice” while “cooperation must now become a strategy,” Lukman argued that split resources and divided constituencies only strengthen those currently in power. He reiterated these sentiments during an appearance on Arise Television, where he advocated for a new coalition under the “G100” platform to foster a cohesive front, streamline candidate engagement, and establish a clear post-election agenda to defeat the ruling government.

“ONLY GOD CAN SAVE US FROM OURSELVES!” Peter Obi Admits Politicians Are Addicted To Stealing And Need Urgent Prayers!.
Peter Obi, the standard-bearer of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has placed the blame for the nation’s struggles squarely on its political class, declaring that Nigeria itself is not broken, but rather its leaders.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Speaking during a live-streamed Sunday service at Apostle Joshua Selman’s Koinonia Global and Eternity Network International, where he was unexpectedly invited to address the congregation, Obi made a candid appeal for divine intervention.
“I don’t know what to say,” Obi remarked. “We are all here for prayers, but pray for us politicians to stop stealing.”
Insisting that systemic corruption rather than structural flaws defines Nigeria’s predicament, he urged worshippers to look past partisan divisions. “Do not say one is good and another is bad. We [politicians] are the problem of the country.”
Drawing comparisons to nations that started their developmental journeys alongside Nigeria but have since surged ahead—recommending the book Growing Apart for context—Obi maintained that a prosperous future is achievable if leaders abandon embezzlement and commit to integrity.
“I’ve seen things work in other countries,” he said. “People should refrain from embezzling public funds. If we do the right thing, things will improve.”
