In a statement by the National Coordinator, Engr. Ufot Akan Umoren, the group advises against further litigation at the Supreme Court, emphasizing the need to channel resources and energy into the development of the state. The statement reads, “Our Platform congratulates Governor Umo Eno on his well-deserved victory at the Appeal Court, which upheld his election as Akwa Ibom State Governor at the March 18, 2023 governorship election in the State.”

The group, which focuses on good governance and the well-being of the people, urges political parties and contenders to acknowledge the people’s verdict and collaborate with Governor Umo Eno to advance the state. Meanwhile, Ogun State’s PDP governorship candidate, Ladi Adebutu, describes Governor Dapo Abiodun’s victory at the Court of Appeal as temporary and hints at approaching the Supreme Court for justice. The Appeal Court affirmed Abiodun’s election as the validly elected governor of Ogun State in the March 18, 2023, elections. Adebutu, through his spokesman, Afolabi Orekoya, acknowledges the positive aspects of the appeal judgment and expresses hope in the judiciary’s consideration of the merits of the petition at the higher level. He also approved an amendment extending the lifespan of the 2025 budget from March 31 to June 30, 2026, to ensure completion of ongoing capital projects nationwide.

Under the 2026 fiscal plan, ₦4.799 trillion is set aside for statutory transfers, ₦15.8 trillion for debt servicing, ₦15.4 trillion for recurrent spending, while ₦32.2 trillion goes to capital projects—about half of the total budget.
