In a recent post on her X account last Thursday, Yesufu articulated her perspective, stating, “I have always told you people that the political rulers and the religious rulers are in a symbiotic relationship. The religious rulers need bad governance to sell cheap miracles, while political rulers need the citizens to be kept subjugated.”
Yesufu further delved into the religious dynamics, noting, “On the Muslim side, they will tell you that the suffering here does not matter as your reward is in heaven, so protest is haram.” She anticipated increased extremist behavior from groups like hisbah, linking it to the establishment of Islamic ways during challenging times.
Addressing the Christian perspective, Yesufu mentioned, “On the Christian side, they will tell you to focus on your personal miracle and not be bothered about government.” She predicted more miraculous occurrences from pastors, suggesting that focusing on personal miracles could yield greater results than relying on the government.
Regarding traditional religions, Yesufu pointed out, “As for traditional religions, they always have witches, old people, uncles, and mothers-in-law to blame.” Her observations shed light on the intricate dynamics between political and religious authorities and their strategies for maintaining control and influence over the populace.
