In a statement issued on Monday in Abuja, Ishaku Aliyu, the National Coordinator of the Coalition, expressed appreciation for the Armed Forces’ adherence to their commitment to neutrality, as articulated by the Chief of Defense Staff, General Christopher Musa.

Aliyu acknowledged that the military’s noble conduct significantly contributed to minimizing security challenges during the elections. He praised General Musa for his support in fortifying democracy in the country.

“We are cognizant of the stern warning by the CDS that criminal tendencies during the election will not be condoned. We can affirm that the Armed Forces of Nigeria kept their promise. Our investigation across the three states where the off-cycle election was conducted revealed that our military performed exceptionally well.

“Despite attempts by some politicians to involve the military in the electoral process, we acknowledge their neutrality. Once again, CGGS applauds the CDS for his outstanding leadership,” Aliyu stated.
