The Kano Hisbah, led by Sheikh Aminu Daurawa, has announced its intention to facilitate marriages and support the business ventures of TikTokers in Kano, as part of an initiative aimed at enhancing their moral values.
This initiative was introduced during a meeting organized by the Hisbah to provide moral guidance to TikTokers.
Initially, TikToker Murja Ibrahim Kunya, known for her controversial content that often sparks discussions in Kano State, and other popular TikTokers, were invited to the Kano State Hisbah Command’s headquarters for potential rehabilitation on Monday, November 6th, 2023, at 4 pm.

The invitation, issued by Deputy Commander-General of Hisbah, Dr. Mujahid Aminuddeen, encouraged attendees to bring their educational and business certificates while maintaining their anonymity by covering their faces.
The primary objective of this gathering is to provide support to those interested in receiving assistance from the state’s governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf.
The TikTokers attended the meeting in significant numbers, wearing traditional attire and concealing their identities with Niqabs.
While unveiling the program, Sheikh Aminu Daurawa, the Commander-General of the Hisbah board, stated, “We are willing to offer you all the necessary support to lead a sustainable life. For those of you with fiancées or an interest in marriage, we promise to arrange a grand wedding and cover all expenses.”
He also offered advice to popular TikTokers like Murja Kunya and others present on how to enhance their moral values.
Sheikh Daurawa explained that all TikTok users in need of capital support should create a business plan and submit it to the Hisbah board. If they are satisfied with the provided information, the Kano government will offer financial support.
This initiative, endorsed by Kano Governor Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf, aims to assist the youth in the region and promote moral development.
The TikTokers responded positively to the offer and engaged in discussions with senior Hisbah officials.
As a gesture of commitment to this endeavor, the Hisbah provided N2,000 in transport fare to TikTok participants in these discussions.
This unexpected partnership between TikTokers and the Kano Hisbah represents a unique and surprising effort to empower youth and foster moral values within the local TikTok community.
