Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has emphasized that his administration will not tolerate miscreants and touts engaged in the illegal collection of revenue in the state.
Soludo made this declaration while responding to questions from reporters after his private meeting with Vice President Kashim Shettima at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Tuesday.
The governor, describing Anambra as one of the safest states in the country, reiterated his administration’s commitment to ensuring the safety of lives and property.
He stated, “Anambra is very peaceful. It should certainly rank among the top three states in terms of the safety of lives and property. Security, law, and order are our top priorities. We do not condone the activities of touts and individuals involved in the illegal collection of revenue, attempting to extort and exploit innocent people.”
Soludo emphasized that Anambra is known for its commercial activities and that they do not want people harassing others who visit the state. He further mentioned that the administration has a zero-tolerance policy for such miscreants.
He added, “We have a message for them: if you are in need of employment, just come forward. We provide training and offer start-up funds to help you start afresh and embark on a new path in life.”
