The leadership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ebonyi State has criticized Senator Obinna Ogba, who represented Ebonyi Central Senatorial Zone for eight years in the National Assembly, for his alleged intention to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to the PDP, Ogba’s decision to leave the party stems from his inability to secure the PDP gubernatorial primaries in 2022.

In a statement released in Abakaliki, the state chairman of the PDP, Mr. Augustine Nwazunku, rebuked Ogba, stating, “Senator Obinna Ogba is engaging in politics characterized by deliberate cynicism that lacks moral considerations. He seems to discard the concept of purposeful honesty, opting for a self-indulgent political behavior driven by excessive self-love.
“His move to leave the PDP for the APC is a direct result of his failure to secure the PDP gubernatorial primaries in 2022. This is a clear demonstration of purposeful political disruption, syndicalism, individualism, and personality cultism.
“We, in the PDP, have resolved to move forward without the distractions of these planted fifth-columnists, but they are turning the process of leaving the PDP for the APC into an endless program of staged sensationalism.
“It’s regrettable that individuals like Senator Ogba have allowed themselves to be manipulated as willing instruments for undermining the political landscape in Nigeria.
“After all, Ogba was a relatively unknown political figure before the PDP elevated him to various distinguished positions in the state and at the national level, ultimately leading to his two-term tenure in the Senate from 2015 to 2023.”

“We Will Rig You!”: Peter Obi Issues Explosive Warning To INEC Over Alleged Election Manipulation!.
During a recent visit to Washington, D.C., Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), argued that the prevalence of election rigging in Nigeria is largely due to voters failing to actively defend their ballots. Obi emphasized that while candidates play a role in the process, credible outcomes ultimately depend on citizens remaining at their polling units to ensure votes are counted transparently. He criticized the “transactional” nature of Nigerian politics, suggesting that many voters prioritize other activities over the essential task of monitoring the electoral process. According to Obi, Nigeria’s primary challenge is poor political leadership, and he urged citizens to take collective ownership of their votes to demand the accountable governance required for the country to succeed.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has called for increased citizen involvement in protecting electoral integrity. Voters must proactively defend their ballots at polling units to ensure transparency and prevent rigging.
-
Nigeria’s fundamental obstacle is a crisis of political leadership, rather than a lack of natural or human resources.
-
Real change requires Nigerians to move beyond passive participation and take active responsibility for the electoral process.
