Breaking: Man Faces Court In Lagos For Allegedly Conspiring To Steal Property Worth N1,118,542....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

In Lagos State, a 31-year-old man named Lukman Alao appeared before a Magistrates’ court in Ibeju-lekki on Friday, facing charges of conspiring with others, who are still at large, to steal property valued at N1,118,542.

The police brought two charges against Alao, including conspiracy to commit a felony and theft. However, the defendant entered a plea of not guilty.

According to the prosecutor, Sup. Friday Ekundayo, the defendant committed these offenses between September 20 and 30 in the Magbon Segun area of Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State.

Ekundayo detailed that Alao and his unidentified accomplices stole 66 bags of cement with an estimated worth of N343,200, 22 pieces of 16mm iron rods worth N301,536, and an additional 49 bags of cement valued at N254,500.

The defendant and his associates also allegedly pilfered 42 pieces of 10mm iron rods worth N159,301 and intentionally damaged a CCTV camera with a memory card valued at N60,000, which belonged to Mr. Francis Awoyera.

The prosecutor stated that these actions contravene sections 411 and 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

Magistrate Mrs. Olumide Fusika granted the defendant bail in the amount of N500,000, with two sureties required to provide the same amount.

The case has been adjourned until November 11 for further proceedings.
