Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State disclosed this information to the media after the confirmation of IGP Egbetokun.

The committee’s mission is to enhance the efficiency and reform of the Nigerian Police Force by addressing technology, manpower, and statutory issues.

The IGP emphasized professionalism, community policing, and adequate funding for the police during the confirmation meeting, indicating the need for reforms in the police force, as the National Police Council recognized the absence of meaningful reforms since its establishment in 1861.
