Former presidential aspirant, Adamu Garba, has expressed his approval of the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold President Bola Tinubu’s victory in the 2023 presidential election.
The Supreme Court recently dismissed the appeal filed by the 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, against President Bola Tinubu’s election.
In a unanimous verdict, the court declared that Atiku’s appeal lacked merit.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Garba highlighted President Tinubu’s consistent victories and described them as a testament to the maturity of Nigeria’s democracy. He called for a statesmanship response from Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar, urging them to accept the Supreme Court’s judgment and extend their support to the Tinubu administration.
Garba emphasized that now, as the legal battles conclude, it’s time for governance and nation-building. He called on Nigerians to unite and uphold the sanctity, dignity, and respect of the country and its Constitution, further expressing his belief that President Tinubu’s leadership is in line with God’s will.
