The family of the late Afrobeat singer, Oladimeji Aloba, known as Mohbad, appeared at a coroner’s court in Lagos on Wednesday as part of the ongoing inquest into the singer’s mysterious death. The coroner’s proceedings commenced on October 13, 2023, at the Magistrate Court in Ikorodu, Lagos.
In a video circulating on social media, Mohbad’s family, including his wife, mother, and father, were seen arriving at the court premises on Wednesday afternoon.
The Coroner Magistrate, Adedayo Shotobi, had earlier summoned musicians Naira Marley, Primeboy, and Sam Larry to appear before the court on October 25 as part of the ongoing inquest to determine the cause of Mohbad’s death. The court directed the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Panti, to ensure their presence on the specified date.
Notably, the court did not invite the nurse who was considered one of the key suspects in the case. Mohbad passed away under controversial circumstances on September 12 at the age of 27.

For Nigeria, Okogie led the scoring charge with 14 points, eight rebounds, and two assists, though his contributions weren’t enough to avert the narrow defeat.
This setback follows a previous 78-62 loss to Cameroon on Wednesday during their second-round opener, leaving D’Tigers under heavy pressure ahead of a decisive matchup against Cape Verde on Sunday.

Discussing his financial management strategy in an interview with Advocacy for Good Governance, Obi explained that he opposed using state funds to support an un-elected office. This recruitment cycle encompasses the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), and the Federal Fire Service (FFS).
Issuing a stern warning against fraudsters, the board emphasized that candidates must not make any payments for shortlisting, document uploading, venue selection, or final placement. Applicants are also strongly advised to ignore scam messages, unverified links, and impostors falsely claiming affiliation with the board.
The recruitment process commenced with online submissions in July 2025, leading up to the Computer-Based Test (CBT) held in November of that same year.
