Just In: Deontay Wilder’s Determination To Fight Anthony Joshua Remains Unshaken....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

American heavyweight boxer Deontay Wilder is resolute in his determination to make a fight against Nigerian-born British boxer Anthony Joshua a reality. Negotiations are back on track after the initial plan for the fight in Saudi Arabia was canceled. Talks resumed after potential Saudi hosts withdrew from the deal that would have seen the two heavyweight boxers face off in Saudi Arabia this year.
Recent reports suggest that the highly-anticipated bout might take place in the United States in early 2024, separate from the Usyk-Fury fight set to occur in Saudi Arabia in December.
While Anthony Joshua has recently participated in and triumphed over two heavyweight opponents in the past 8 months, Deontay Wilder has not fought for an entire year, last defeating Robert Helenius with a first-round knockout in 2022. Despite some differences mentioned by Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, regarding the certainty of the fight, Wilder affirmed his readiness.
Wilder stated, “I’m letting you know I’m ready to fight. Let’s make this the best time of our lives—a fight everyone is looking forward to, and hopefully, it happens. I’m doing everything in my power to make it happen.”
He also directly addressed Anthony Joshua, saying, “Anthony, you’re getting it from the horse’s mouth himself: I’m here, I’m ready to go. I heard some things your promoter [Hearn] said that my last fight only lasted a short period, and I haven’t fought in a year, and he doesn’t know if I want to fight or not. This would be a major disaster if we were never able to get in the ring and put our stamp down in history.”
