Speaker Abbas Tajudeen expressed deep sorrow following the death of Ambassador Mansur Nuhu Bamalli, the Nigerian Deputy Ambassador to Morocco. Ambassador Bamalli, also known as the Magajin Garin Zazzau, passed away on Friday after a brief illness. He was not only the younger brother of the Emir of Zazzau, Amb. Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli but also a cousin to Speaker Abbas.
In an official statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Abdullahi Krishi, the Speaker conveyed his profound sadness upon learning of the passing of the late Magajin Garin Zazzau.
The Speaker, who holds the traditional title of Iyan Zazzau, led a delegation from the House to attend the funeral prayers held at the Emir’s Palace in Zaria at 6 p.m. on Friday.
The funeral ceremony was attended by a multitude of people and was officiated by the Chief Imam of Zaria, Malam Dalhat Qasim. Dignitaries present included Kaduna Governor Uba Sani, former governor Malam Nasir Ahmed El-Rufai, Kaduna Speaker Yusuf Liman Dahiru, Minister of Environment Alhaji Balarabe Abbas Lawal, among others.
The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, led a group of traditional rulers in offering their respects at the funeral prayers.
Speaker Abbas extended his condolences to the Emir of Zazzau, the people, and the Government of Kaduna State, expressing his deep sense of loss. In his message, he said, “We have lost more than a brother in the late Magajin Garin Zazzau. He was not only family but also a man of humility and kindness. Even in his role as Deputy Ambassador of Nigeria to Morocco, he remained unassuming and served his country diligently.”
The Speaker concluded by praying that Ambassador Mansur Nuhu Bamalli would find eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus. The late Ambassador was laid to rest at the Magajin Gari Cemetery in Zaria.
