Group Outlines Reasons Behind Uzodimma’s Expected Victory In Imo Election....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The Professionals Movement for Hope, a collective of professionals, has voiced its confidence that the residents of Imo state will cast their votes in favor of Governor Hope Uzodimma on Saturday, November 11.

In a statement, the group’s convener, Obinna Obiozor, who is an engineer, emphasized that the remarkable accomplishments of the Uzodimma administration, centered on the shared prosperity agenda, have endeared the governor to the populace. Obiozor stated that no amount of opposition propaganda can alter the deep affection Imo citizens hold for him.

Obiozor also pointed out that the votes garnered by the All Progressives Congress in the previous House of Assembly election were a resounding vote of confidence in the government’s achievements over the past three years. Uzodimma’s administration successfully initiated and executed infrastructure development projects, including road construction and vital facilities, which have stimulated economic growth, job creation, and improvements in people’s daily lives.

“Our citizens recognize leaders who genuinely care for them, and Uzodimma has dutifully served them for the past three years,” Obiozor stated. He highlighted the immense support that the APC received during the last election as a clear testament to the people of Imo wholeheartedly embracing Uzodimma’s initiatives.

Obiozor emphasized that the government’s focus on infrastructure development, particularly its road revolution, has set it apart and captured the hearts of the Imo people. The substantial electoral support the APC received in March clearly indicates the residents’ unwavering confidence in the government’s accomplishments over the last three years.

“As professionals advocating for effective governance that can foster prosperity for all, we are pleased to note that Uzodimma leads an open and transparent government. He regularly engages with the people and provides them with updates on his stewardship,” Obiozor added.

The group also criticized the national leadership of the primary opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party, for suggesting that they could challenge the APC in Imo. They described the PDP’s ambitions as an attempt to remain relevant, as the APC remains the dominant party in the state.

“It is evident that the PDP suffers from inflated self-importance, as it is baffling how a struggling party like theirs believes that our citizens support them.”

The match began with an immediate impact from Arsenal, as Kai Havertz capitalized on a pass from Leandro Trossard to put the London club ahead within the first six minutes. Arsenal maintained their lead for much of the first half, successfully frustrating the French champions.

The momentum shifted in the 63rd minute when a VAR review resulted in a penalty for PSG. Ousmane Dembélé stepped up to the spot and converted two minutes later, bringing the score level at 1-1. Despite intense efforts from both sides during the remainder of regulation and throughout extra time, neither team could find a winning goal.

The title was ultimately decided by penalties. In the shootout, PSG held their nerve, with Lucas Beraldo converting their final spot-kick. With Arsenal needing to score to force sudden death, defender Gabriel Magalhães sent his effort over the bar, sealing a 4-3 victory for the French side.

This triumph marks a historic achievement for PSG, who become the first French club to win the UEFA Champions League title in two consecutive seasons, having defeated Inter Milan 5-0 in the 2025 final.
