The Defence Headquarters has declared that its troops are making substantial progress in the battle against both terrorists and oil thieves. They have successfully eliminated and apprehended leaders and supporters of these criminal elements through various operations conducted nationwide.
According to a statement by Major General Edward Buba, the Director of Defence Media Operations, the military’s operations have effectively dismantled the command and control centers, along with training facilities of terrorists, insurgents, and oil thieves. This has left them without safe havens and increasingly on the defensive.
Buba stated, “Consequently, the insurgents and terrorists are continually mourning their losses, consistently burying their deceased members. Our communities across the nation have played a pivotal role in identifying and exposing these elements, significantly aiding military operations by eliminating their hiding places.

The results of these operations have been highly favorable, including the denial of safe havens to these groups and the destruction of their command, control, and training facilities. Buba concluded, “The military is engaged in a formidable battle and is emerging victorious in this conflict. Our operations have led to the capture or elimination of numerous terrorist and insurgent leaders, as well as their supporters and key associates.”
