Sokoto State Governor Ahmed Aliyu Reveals Inheritance Of Empty Treasury, Highlights 100-Day Achievements....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Sokoto State Governor, Ahmed Aliyu, has asserted that his predecessor, Aminu Tambuwa, left him with an empty state treasury. The governor clarified that not a single penny was handed over to him by his forerunner, painting a picture of an entirely depleted account.
This declaration was made as Governor Aliyu elaborated on how he successfully implemented 100 projects during his initial 100 days in office to Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kanu.
During a visit to the state to express condolences to the government and people following the passing of their colleague and representative of Isa-Sabon Birni Federal Constituency, Jelani Danbuga, Kanu was apprised that these projects had materialized through substantial sacrifices.
Governor Aliyu, represented by his deputy, Idris Gobir, disclosed that when they assumed office around five months ago, the state’s treasury was devoid of any funds.
“We inherited an empty Treasury, and there was nothing to show for it. Not a single document was handed over to us,” the governor stated. “We made significant sacrifices to transform the state’s situation, and we have achieved remarkable changes within the last 100 days.
While lauding the mentorship and leadership skills of the present leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, the governor commended the harmonious relationship between the state government and the legislature, attributing it to their shared tutelage under Senator Wamakko.
Aliyu also expressed gratitude for the House of Representatives’ leadership for dispatching a strong delegation to offer condolences to the state government following Danbuga’s passing.
In response, Kanu acknowledged that their presence in the state was primarily to pay their respects for the loss of their colleague but also underscored their appreciation for the significant number of projects undertaken in the state thus far.

Atiku Opens Up On ADC 2027 Game Plan, Says Consensus Candidate Comes First.
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has said the African Democratic Congress (ADC) will first pursue a consensus arrangement before considering a primary election for its 2027 presidential ticket.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Atiku made this known during an interview on Arise Television on Wednesday while discussing the party’s leadership and strategy ahead of the next general election.
He said he is open to backing a consensus candidate if that becomes the party’s collective decision, stressing that such support should not be interpreted as stepping aside.
“It is not about stepping aside, but whether I am willing to support, and yes, I will,” Atiku said.
According to him, the ADC’s first priority is to build internal unity and reach an agreement among stakeholders before considering a competitive primary process.
“Our first option will be to work out a consensus. If that doesn’t happen, then of course we will explore other options. And yes, I will support whoever eventually emerges,” he stated.
Atiku also expressed confidence in the political experience within the party, saying he believes a consensus is achievable and may make a full-scale primary contest unnecessary.
“That remains our preferred path. We will go for primaries if consensus fails, but I honestly do not expect it to get to that stage because we are dealing with mature and experienced politicians,” he added.
His comments come amid growing political consultations and coalition talks as parties begin to position themselves ahead of the 2027 general elections.
