Four students from Nasarawa State University who were abducted on Monday night have been set free. Bandits released the students, and they are currently at the headquarters of the 177 Guards Battalion of the Nigerian Army in Keffi, the capital of Nasarawa state.
The abducted students, Rahila Hanya (SLT 100 level), Josephine Gershon (Computer Science 100 level), Rosemary Samuel (Business Administration 100 level), and Goodness Samuel (Geography 100 level), were taken from their off-campus residence near Angwan Kare after BCG at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Monday.

The Secretary-General of the Nasarawa State Youths Forum for Advocacy, Muhammed Sakilu Muhammed, has confirmed the students’ release. In a statement released to Daily Post on Thursday, Muhammed mentioned that an undisclosed ransom was paid to secure the students’ freedom.
He stated: “We are delighted to inform you that the four students from Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), who were kidnapped, have reportedly been released today. This development follows the payment of an undisclosed ransom.”
