Comrade Nathan Solomon, the NUT’s state chairman, conveyed these sentiments during a press conference. He emphasized that the union continued to acknowledge the governor’s efforts to bolster the state’s educational sector.

Furthermore, Solomon urged Governor Kefas to use his influence to encourage the Taraba State Primary Education Board to release the union’s withheld checkup dues, which had been withheld for over two years. He also appealed to the governor to settle the teachers’ outstanding salary arrears of five months, which were accrued during the previous administration’s tenure.

“We have been operating our union without receiving the checkup dues for over two years. These dues have been retained by the State Primary Education Board, and we kindly request the governor’s intervention in this matter,” Solomon remarked.
