Davido, a renowned Nigerian artist, has issued an apology to his fans who were anticipating his presence at the Warri event in Delta State, which he unfortunately missed.
The controversy surrounding Davido arose when he was unable to attend the Warri Again event, as claimed by former Nigerian Football Federation president, Amaju Pinnick. Pinnick alleged that Davido had been paid $98,000, along with an additional $18,000 for a private jet to transport him to Delta State, and despite accepting the payment and confirming the date, Davido did not appear as scheduled.

In response, Davido accused Pinnick, the former NFF president, of being an untrustworthy sports official who had not fulfilled the financial commitments owed to Nigerian athletes. This exchange unfolded through a series of tweets and Instagram story posts.
Davido firmly asserted that no one had the authority to prevent him from performing anywhere in Nigeria, regardless of Amaju Pinnick’s statements suggesting otherwise.
Finally, Davido took to his Instagram page to offer a heartfelt apology. The “Fem” singer expressed regret for missing the concert and assured his supporters in Warri that he would deliver an even grander performance in the region.
Davido clarified that he had informed the Warri Again organizers about his unavailability due to a prior commitment in New Zealand but was dismayed to discover that his name was still being used for event promotion.
He extended his apologies to his Warri fans and promised to bring his “Timeless Xperience Concert” to Delta State in the near future.
