Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has strongly denounced the acts of violence committed by the Islamic terrorist organization Hamas in Palestine, specifically the killings of Israelis.

In the early hours of Saturday, Hamas executed an unprecedented and offensive attack on Israel, infiltrating through land, sea, and air, and launching missile attacks from the Gaza Strip. This attack has tragically resulted in the confirmed deaths of hundreds of individuals in Israel, with over a hundred more currently receiving medical treatment in hospitals, and numerous abductions have also taken place.

In response, Israeli forces have conducted retaliatory strikes in the Gaza Strip, resulting in the loss of nearly 200 lives.

In response to these developments, Femi Fani-Kayode expressed his condemnation on his verified social media platform. He described the act of firing rockets and invading a sovereign nation as utterly reprehensible and horrifying.

As a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Fani-Kayode emphasized that the deliberate targeting and killing of innocent women and children by Hamas militants, as well as the abduction of civilians, are acts that deserve condemnation and are inhumane.

The former minister urged the Israeli Defense Force to take decisive action against Hamas, including retaking Gaza and addressing the threat posed by Hezbollah in Southern Lebanon. He also called for a resolute stance against Iran.

Fani-Kayode wrote: “On the anniversary of the Yom Kippur war, Israel is once again under attack.

“There is nothing gallant or noble about firing rockets into and invading a sovereign nation, targeting and slaughtering innocent women and children, and abducting civilians to take them back to your hell hole and cesspit of filth and your horrendous enclave of terror and butchery known as the Gaza strip. Such acts are not only despicable, but they are also condemnable and barbaric.

“The truth is that it is time for the Israeli Defence Force to wipe Hamas from the face of the earth. It is time to retake Gaza. It is time to occupy Southern Lebanon. It is time to eliminate Hezbollah. It is time to stand up to Iran.

“It is time that the world understood that the Jewish state is here to stay and that she has a right to exist in peace and prosperity with her neighbors.

“Israel is surrounded by enemies, but she has never been defeated, and she will never be defeated.

“May God defend Israel. May God watch over Israel. May God be with the Jewish state, and may He deliver the Sons and Daughters of David.”

Case Background and Prosecution

The convicts were apprehended following a violent cult clash at the Ikenne Town Hall on October 23, 2023, which severely disrupted public peace and local activities.

Prosecuting officer ASP Olaide Rawlings established during the trial that Okusanya belonged to the Eiye Confraternity, while Gafar was affiliated with the Alora Confraternity, alongside other accomplices currently at large. Their actions violated several provisions of the Prohibition of Forcible Entry and Occupation of Landed Properties, Armed Robbery, Cultism, Kidnapping and Other Anti-Violent and Related Offences Law of Ogun State, 2016.

Finding the prosecution’s evidence credible and compelling beyond a reasonable doubt, Magistrate Oke delivered the sentence to serve as a strict deterrent against unlawful secret societies and violent disturbances in the state.
