Political Harmony In Progress As APC Sets Up Committee To Mend Akeredolu, Aiyedatiwa Relations....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, has established a committee tasked with reconciling the strained relationship between Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State and his deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

The friction between Akeredolu and Aiyedatiwa emerged following the governor’s return from a three-month medical leave in Germany.

The Ondo State House of Assembly has initiated impeachment proceedings against the deputy governor on charges of abuse of office and financial recklessness, which Aiyedatiwa has contested.

To address these issues, the lawmakers have requested that the Chief Judge of the state, Olusegun Odusola, form a seven-member committee to investigate Aiyedatiwa’s response to the allegations against him.

During the inauguration of the committee in Abuja on Friday, Ganduje appointed the former Governor of Katsina State, Aminu Masari, as its head. He stated that the committee’s task is to engage with all parties involved, gather facts, and advise the party on how to handle the ongoing impeachment process of the deputy governor.

Ganduje emphasized that the committee’s responsibilities include finding amicable solutions to the ongoing disputes related to the impeachment process and making recommendations to the party on issue resolutions and any other matters that may arise during the assignment.

The committee’s members include Gboyega Oyetola, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar, Martins Elechi, Obafemi Hamzat, Tilley Gyado, Ita Giwa, Tokunbo Abiru, and Liman Abbas, who will serve as the Secretary.
