On Wednesday, the Senate officially endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s nominees for positions on the board and management of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
Following thorough screening by the Committee of the Whole, the Senate granted confirmation to the following nominees: Chiedu Ebie as NDDC Board Chairman (Delta State); Dr. Samuel Ogbuku as Managing Director/CEO (Bayelsa); Boma Iyaye as Executive Director of Finance and Administration (Rivers); Victor Antai as Executive Director of Projects (Akwa-Ibom); Ifedayo Abegunde as Executive Director of Corporate Services (Ondo); and Senator Dimaro Denyanbofa as State Representative (Bayelsa).

Other confirmed nominees include Abasi Ndikan Nkono as State Representative (Akwa Ibom); Rt. Hon. Monday Igbuya as State Representative (Delta); Tony Okocha as State Representative (Rivers); Hon. Patrick Aisowieren as State Representative (Edo); Kyrian Uchegbu as State Representative (Imo); Victor Kolade Akinjo as State Representative (Ondo); Dimgba Eruba as State Representative (Abia); and Asu Oku Okang as State Representative (Cross River).
In addition, Hon. Nick Wende has been confirmed as Zonal Representative for North-Central, Hon. Namdas Abdulrazak as Zonal Representative for North-East, and Ibrahim Abdullahi Gobir as Zonal Representative for North West.
