The Ogun State Government has issued a stern warning to company owners, cautioning them against violating established rules and regulations. The government has emphasized that non-compliance could result in the closure of their businesses.

These directives were conveyed by Olayiwola Abiodun, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, during an inspection of several business establishments previously sealed by the Ogun State Building Production Management Authority (OGBPMA) along the Lagos-Ibadan highway in Mowe.
Abiodun observed that the limited adherence to Stop-Work orders and seal notices indicated a deliberate disregard for government regulations and rules.
The Permanent Secretary explained that the visit to Mowe served multiple purposes: to assess the level of compliance with OGBPMA’s enforcement actions, to remind business owners and residents in Ogun of the necessity to obtain permits before commencing construction, and to inform those who had violated building laws about the need to seek regularization through the appropriate channels.
He encouraged individuals who had received notices from government authorities to visit the Ministry with their documents, assuring them that they would be guided through the correct procedures to regularize their documentation.
Abiodun emphasized, “We are not aiming to unfairly target anyone or disrupt your investments, but all actions must be carried out in accordance with the law to ensure a safe and well-planned physical environment.”
