Governor Sule Insists His Mandate Is Unaffected....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, firmly asserted that the mandate entrusted to him by the people of the state during the March 18 governorship election remains secure and unaltered.

Despite the recent decision by the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal that removed Sule from office and declared David Ombugadu, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, as the winner of the election, a statement from Mr. Peter Ahemba, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Public Affairs, described the tribunal’s ruling as a momentary setback, contending that it lacks legal merit.

The statement emphasized that Governor Sule is a leader chosen by divine providence and remains in his position as the state’s chief executive until the conclusion of his second term.

It further highlighted the governor’s unwavering trust in the judiciary, irrespective of the outcome of the governorship election petition. The statement expressed confidence that Governor Sule will ultimately prevail in the Appeal Court.

The statement also conveyed the assurance that the mandate given to Governor Sule by the people of Nasarawa State is secure and unassailable.

It called upon those challenging the governor to be aware that they might be inviting divine consequences, given that it is the divine will that has entrusted Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule with the mandate to serve as Governor through the people’s votes.

The statement recognized that the legal battle is ongoing and suggested that the outcome of the forthcoming legal proceedings may result in a less favorable situation for the opposition, causing them distress throughout the remaining four years.

Furthermore, the statement commended the people of Nasarawa State, particularly supporters of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), for their peaceful conduct despite the tribunal’s judgment favoring the opposition party. It encouraged them to remain calm as Governor Sule has instructed his legal team to appeal the tribunal’s decision.
