Prominent Figures, Including Adamu And Al-Makura Are All Present At Nasarawa Gov’ship Election Tribunal....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Former Governors of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Adamu and Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, were in attendance at the proceedings of the Nasarawa State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal held in Lafia, the state’s capital.

The tribunal is set to deliver its judgment on the petitions challenging the election of Abdullahi Sule in the March 18 governorship poll.

In the initial petition, the tribunal dismissed the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) petition, which contested the election of Governor Sule, citing a lack of merit, and no costs were awarded.

The three-member panel, chaired by Justice Ezekiel Ajayi, delivered the verdict virtually, affirming Governor Sule’s election.

Recall that on March 20, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Sule, of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as the winner of the governorship election in the state, having received the highest number of votes during the polls.

He secured re-election for a second term in office after garnering 209 votes, surpassing his closest rival, David Ombugadu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who received 283,016 votes, while Abdullahi Maidoya of the NNPP obtained 11,726 votes.

Dissatisfied with the election results, both the PDP and the NNPP, along with their respective governorship candidates, approached the tribunal seeking to nullify Sule’s victory.
