Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has responded to the ruling of the state governorship election petition tribunal in Lafia, Nasarawa State.
The tribunal declared David Ombugadu, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the March 18 polls, as the duly elected governor of the state, nullifying Sule’s election victory.

Governor Sule, addressing APC supporters at the Government House, described the judgment as a temporary setback and a wake-up call. He affirmed that he remains the governor until a different verdict is reached by the Supreme Court.
He urged his supporters to stay calm and continue with their normal activities, assuring them that he would continue his duties as governor while his legal team appeals the judgment. The governor also called on residents to maintain peace, calmness, and adherence to the law following the tribunal’s decision to nullify his election.
