In a statement released on Saturday to commemorate Nigeria’s 63rd Independence Anniversary, Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 election, has urged Nigerians not to lose hope in their efforts to steer the country away from a state of uncertainty towards a realm of collective security.

The PDP’s flagbearer expressed his sentiments about Nigeria’s journey since gaining independence, remarking that the nation has grappled with realizing the aspirations of its founding fathers.
