Sanjo Adedoyin, the Majority Leader of the Oyo State House of Assembly, experienced a tragic loss on the early morning of Thursday, September 28, as his son, Faith, was involved in a fatal auto accident.
Faith, a fifth-year accounting student at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), was part of a group of students returning from an excursion to the Erin-Ijesa waterfall in Osun State on Wednesday, September 26 when the accident occurred around Ilobo-Okinni-Oshogbo in Osun State, claiming the lives of several students.

The Oyo Assembly, in a statement issued by the Chairman of the House Committee on Information and Public Affairs, Waheed Akintayo, expressed its deep condolences and described the untimely death as a painful and heavy blow to bear.
The statement conveyed: “The news of his demise was received with a deep sense of loss but in total submission to the will of the Almighty, Unquestionable and all-knowing God whose ways transcend human knowledge.”
“On behalf of the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, and other Honourable members, we pray that the Lord comfort and grant the Leader, Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin, and the entire family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”
“We just want you to know that our thoughts are with you and your family. We are wishing you and your family courage and peace during this time of mourning.”
