Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Sen Abubakar Kyari, has acknowledged that the government is well aware of the challenges faced by farmers, including climate change, limited access to credit, and outdated farming techniques.
In his Eid-el Maulud message, Kyari pledged that the government is actively working to address these challenges and provide essential support to farmers.

In a statement released yesterday, the minister assured Nigerians of the government’s unwavering commitment to tackling food insecurity. He encouraged all Nigerians, particularly the youth, to consider agriculture as a viable and profitable venture, highlighting its potential to generate employment opportunities and contribute to economic growth.
Kyari emphasized, “In our pursuit of enhancing food security and reducing hunger in Nigeria, we are diligently working to meet our target of food self-sufficiency. We are in the process of developing a comprehensive blueprint to enable us to fulfill our objectives as outlined in the President’s eight-point agenda. Success requires the collective efforts of farmers, security agencies, and development partners.”
He also urged Muslims to emulate and practice the teachings of the Holy Prophet and to continue praying for the peace and unity of the country.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Abia State Command, has raised concern over the growing rate of route violations, warning motorists against driving against traffic on major roads across the state.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Sector Commander, Corps Commander Ngozi Ezeoma, condemned the trend, saying some drivers deliberately flout traffic rules by claiming that official turning points are too far, thereby putting lives at risk.
She described driving against traffic as a serious offence that often leads to head-on collisions, avoidable crashes, loss of lives, and destruction of property.
Ezeoma stressed that road designs, including designated turning points, are put in place to ensure safety and smooth traffic flow, and must be strictly obeyed.
She warned that offenders would be arrested and sanctioned under the National Road Traffic Regulations.
The FRSC also said it has intensified patrols and enforcement operations across key roads in Abia State to curb the increasing violations.
