Security personnel, representatives from the Federal and Enugu State Ministries of Works, the Federal Road Maintenance Agency, and the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) have been present in the area to assess the situation and provide assistance to motorists navigating the alternative routes.

As of the time of reporting, there have been no reports of casualties. The Enugu State Government has confirmed the incident and issued a statement through the Commissioner for Works, Engr. Gerald Otiji, advising the public to utilize alternative routes. The government is actively working on measures to expedite repairs on the affected section of the road.
