US Court Approves Atiku’s Request For Tinubu’s Academic Records Disclosure....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

A United States Northern District of Illinois Court has mandated Chicago State University to disclose President Bola Tinubu’s academic records. This directive follows a request made by Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). In a ruling issued on Wednesday, Judge Jeffrey Gilbert granted Atiku’s application, instructing the university to furnish the requested records within 48 hours.

The court’s ruling specified that the records must be made accessible to Atiku to verify whether Tinubu was properly admitted to the university, if he fulfilled all graduation requirements, and if he had submitted fraudulent documents claiming to have graduated from the institution.

Judge Jeffrey Gilbert explained, “This case involves Atiku Abubakar’s Application Pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1782 for an Order Directing Discovery from Chicago State University for Use in a Foreign Proceeding (‘Application’) [ECF No. 1]. For the reasons outlined below, the Application is approved.”

“In consideration of the points discussed earlier, Atiku Abubakar’s application pursuant to 28 U.S.C. 1782 for an order directing discovery from Chicago State University for use in a foreign proceeding [ECF No. 1] is granted. Respondent CSU must provide all relevant and non-privileged documents in response to requests for production Nos. 1 through 4 (as narrowed by the court) within two days of this memorandum opinion and order’s entry.”

“The deposition of respondent’s corporate representative will proceed within two days of document production. The parties may mutually adjust the court-established dates. Due to the tight timeframe in which the parties are operating, the deposition may, if necessary, take place on a non-weekday,” ruled the court.

On August 2, Atiku had applied to the court to compel CSU to produce these documents, emphasizing that the university should verify any documents submitted by Tinubu for the February 25 election under oath. Atiku argued that he intended to use the documents in his ongoing challenge against Tinubu’s presidency, contending that Tinubu should not have been eligible to run for president due to submitting a false document under oath, in violation of the Nigerian Constitution.

  • Distrust in Governance: The spokesman criticized the current administration’s economic policies, describing their impact on living standards as “highly disappointing, if not disturbing”.

  • Systemic Issues: Beyond security, he noted that the education sector is failing, with out-of-school children, poor infrastructure, and unpaid teachers compounding the crisis.
