Real Sociedad Aims To Stun Inter Milan In UEFA Champions League Showdown....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

In a decade’s time, Real Sociedad is set to make a triumphant return to European elite competition as they prepare to host Inter Milan, a Serie A team, in their UEFA Champions League Group D opener this Wednesday.

Real Sociedad secured their spot in this season’s Champions League group stage by finishing fourth in La Liga last season, amassing a total of 71 points from 38 matches under the leadership of Imanol Alguacil.

Currently, the White and Blues find themselves in 10th place on the La Liga table, with one victory, three draws, and one loss in their matches thus far. They have retained their key talents from the previous season and pose a significant goal-scoring threat, particularly through players like Take Kubo, Mikel Merino, and Mikel Oyerzabal. Additionally, Umar Sadiq, the tall Super Eagles forward, is poised to make his debut in the UEFA Champions League when they face the visiting Serie A side.

Inter Milan, who gained valuable experience in European competition last year, are taking a break from their impressive league form, boasting four wins and thirteen goals scored. With the additions of players like Juan Cuadrado, Benjamin Pavard, and Marko Arnautovic, the Nerazzurri have solidified their team and can present a formidable challenge to any opponent.

Unfortunately, Real Sociedad will be without Andre Silva and Martin Merquelanz, both sidelined due to hip and knee injuries, respectively. Carlos Fernandez is also suspended for the game due to his red card against Roma last year.

Inter Milan has omitted Hakan Calhanoglu from the squad as a precaution, but the rest of their team is fit and ready for the clash at the Anoeta.

Real Sociedad’s defensive performance has been inconsistent, which could make it challenging for them to contend with the attacking prowess of Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram.

Supporters of former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, and former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, are scheduled to hold a unity summit in Abuja today.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The event, themed “One Voice, One Vision: In Unity We Win,” is being organised by the OK Movement, a group advocating for a possible Obi–Kwankwaso political partnership ahead of the 2027 general elections.

A flyer shared on by the group on Friday indicated that eight speakers will feature at the summit.

The lineup includes New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) chieftain Buba Galadima, activist Aisha Yesufu, and Isaac Fayose, brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose.

Others billed to speak are Moses Paul, a former African Democratic Congress (ADC) chairmanship candidate, and Adebayo Adefolaseye, the South-West coordinator of the OK Movement.

As of report time, about 428 participants had reportedly registered to attend the gathering.

The summit comes amid rising political speculation that Obi and Kwankwaso may be considering a move from the ADC to the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).

On Friday night, Kwankwasiyya movement spokesperson Habibu Mohammed stated that both politicians were expected to conclude arrangements for the defection next week.

He said the decision followed unanimous approval by key stakeholders and added that discussions with the NDC were approximately 90 percent complete, with only minor details remaining.

According to him, the two politicians, along with other associates, could formally join the NDC as early as Monday or Tuesday.

“I believe him, Peter Obi, and some others will be joining the NDC,” Mohammed said.

The ongoing leadership crisis within the ADC has been linked to the reported political realignment.

On Thursday, the Supreme Court set aside an earlier order maintaining the status quo in the ADC leadership dispute and referred the case back to the Federal High Court for further hearing, effectively prolonging the uncertainty.

The OK Movement was originally launched in April by supporters of Obi and Kwankwaso to rally backing for a joint 2027 presidential ticket.
