Speaking at the inaugural State Executive Council meeting, Adeleke expressed concern about the lack of continuity in some of the policies and programs initiated by his administration during its first 100 days in office. He urged cabinet members to ensure the seamless continuation of these initiatives.

Governor Adeleke emphasized the importance of adhering to public finance regulations and due process. He stressed that in their project proposals and memoranda to the council, they must exercise due diligence in project conception and design to prevent inaccurate cost estimations that could lead to legal consequences.

Furthermore, the governor urged his team to avoid any activities that could create a perception of self-serving interests within the government, emphasizing the need for public service above personal gain.

A statement from the state Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Mr. Kolapo Alimi, quoted Governor Adeleke as saying, “We are being watched. Let us be reminded that nothing is hidden within the public service process. I did not appoint any of you to breach the law. I will not protect anybody caught violating public service regulations.”

He concluded by emphasizing the obligation to serve the people of Osun State diligently and responsibly, honoring the trust bestowed upon the government by the citizens.
