The disbursement event took place during the official groundbreaking ceremony, marking the commencement of construction for seventy-five secondary schools under the AGILE program at Koda/Dambuna Secondary School in the Charanci Local Government Area of the state.

Dr. Mustapha Shehu Kofar Sauri, the state coordinator of the AGILE project, provided insight into the school projects, highlighting features such as twelve classrooms, laboratories, a multipurpose hall, staff rooms, toilets, and the principal’s office in the senior section. The junior section includes ten classrooms, toilets, and an administrative block.

In a separate development, Governor Dikko Umaru Radda initiated the establishment of the second Special Model School for gifted children in Jikamshi, Musawa Local Government Area of the state. This initiative aligns with the governor’s commitment to providing talented children access to high-quality education from the grassroots.

Furthermore, the Governor has directed a thorough investigation into the encroachment on lands allocated to public schools, with the aim of addressing illegal construction within school premises. During an inspection of the ongoing construction at Danjanku Junior Secondary School in Malumfashi, the governor encouraged individuals with concerns about encroachments to report them to the state Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education for prompt action.

Speaking during a television interview on Sunday, Oshiomhole addressed broader political engagement strategies aimed at strengthening ties between the Federal Government and the South-East. “Please note, the fact that Hope Uzodimma is the secretary doesn’t mean he will be the one marketing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the Igbo nation. I believe that every other governor in the South-East also has a role to play,” Oshiomhole stated.
