Omoyele Sowore, the African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate, has stated that he will not rely on the endorsement of people who have ruined Nigeria to win this year’s presidential election.
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo recently endorsed the Labour Party’s presidential flagbearer, Peter Obi, according to the AAC standard bearer.

Sowore stated that he preferred the Nigerian people’s coalition and endorsement to that of the country’s political leaders.

“I’m looking for alliances.
“People may support without having to belittle themselves,” Sowore explained.

“But here’s my point: I don’t need the support of those who have devastated Nigeria.
That is extremely evident to me.

“The kind of endorsement I seek is from the people who select who their leaders should be.

“People on the pasture land of life should not technically be directing the destiny of young people, especially because they have done everything imaginable to destroy our country,”

Sheikh Jingir had previously advocated for the retention of a Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket ahead of the 2027 elections, arguing that it serves to demonstrate demographic weight. Kwankwaso’s Response

In a statement issued on Monday, Kwankwaso expressed deep concern over the cleric’s remarks, stating that such rhetoric threatens national unity and cohesion.

Total War In Football: UEFA, AFC, And Concacaf Unleash Blistering ‘Deception’ Attack On FIFA!.

In a joint open letter released on August 10, UEFA, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), and Concacaf launched a scathing critique against FIFA and its president, Gianni Infantino, accusing them of breaking the trust of football institutions through deception.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The Core Dispute: The FIFA Forward Enterprise (FFE)

The controversy centers around FIFA’s abandoned FFE proposal, which aimed to establish a new company to manage the commercial and ticketing rights of FIFA competitions—including the World Cup—with a 21 percent stake intended for sale to a private investment firm. The plan was ultimately scrapped following heavy backlash and boycott threats led by UEFA.

While FIFA previously defended itself by condemning efforts to “undermine” leadership and announced an internal review to report to the FIFA Council in October, the three confederations rejected this approach. They argued that proper governance demands an independent third-party investigation rather than a self-review by FIFA staff or stakeholders.

Governance and Lack of Consultation

The three bodies emphasized that the dispute is not financially motivated, but rather concerns institutional integrity, power execution, and stakeholder consultation. They criticized FIFA for pushing the FFE proposal through a compressed timeline designed to avoid proper scrutiny, pointing out that a leadership meeting in Morocco regarding the matter lacked participation from Member Associations or FIFA Council members, featuring only FIFA-employed senior staff.

Concluding their letter with a call for accountability, the confederations urged the global football community to honor unity and demand leadership that serves the game rather than commanding it.
