The released captives, a Christian evangelist identified simply as Pastor Timothy and an ex-corps member, Adenike, who completed the required National Youth Service Corps system in November, were released six days after they were abducted from their family homes with five others.

According to intelligence sources, they were released after discussions between the bandits and security forces.
Two male children, a woman, and two adult males are supposedly still in the kidnappers’ hideout.
Official sources at the estate, on the other hand, confirmed the release of two victims while remaining uncertain about the purported kidnapping of five others.

On Monday, the estate’s chairman, Suleiman Seidu, confirmed the news, saying, “Yes, Pastor Timothy and the young lady, Adenike have been released.”
They were released yesterday.
“We’re glad that Adenike has been released,” stated Frank Boboi, Vice-Chairman of the Estate.
She was freed on Sunday and is now back with her family.

“A ransom was paid, but I cannot reveal the amount because it is classified.”
But we want to thank God, the community, and everyone for their help.”

When reached by our journalist, a family source who requested anonymity confirmed the development.

“It is true that Adenike has been released, and she is currently home with the family,” the source stated.
Despite the fact that a ransom was paid for her release.
“We hope that others will be revealed shortly as well.”

When contacted by our correspondent, the spokesperson for the FCT Police Command could not confirm the situation because she was at the ongoing Nigeria Police Force PRO’s annual conference in Ibadan.
