Ahmed Idris, the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, confirmed, “The third plane, which took off from Birnin Kebbi, conveyed 430 intending pilgrims from Gwandu, Aliero, Bunza, and Kalgo Local Government Areas of Kebbi alongside Kebbi Government Officials (KGO).”
The flight departed Nigeria at approximately 4:00 pm Nigerian time and arrived in Madinah at about 12:30 am Saudi Arabian time.
Malam Hussaini Abubakar-Giro, a board member of the Kebbi Pilgrims Welfare Board, noted that comprehensive arrangements were in place to receive the pilgrims and transport them to their respective hotels. Upon arrival, buses were ready and waiting to ensure a smooth transition for the pilgrims.
Abubakar-Giro highlighted a new organizational approach that facilitated the process: pilgrims were pre-grouped into units of 45 people in Nigeria, using their passports for identification. “Immediately upon arrival, each group member was easily identified through their passport, making the coordination seamless,” he explained.
“This is a new innovation that we have never seen before, and we have to appreciate our Chairman, Kebbi Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Faruku Aliyu-Enabo, for this significant effort,” Abubakar-Giro stated. He credited Aliyu-Enabo with introducing several innovations that have greatly enhanced the board’s operations and contributed to the success of this year’s Hajj arrangements.
The efficient and well-coordinated efforts of the Kebbi Pilgrims Welfare Board underscore their commitment to ensuring a smooth and spiritually fulfilling Hajj experience for all participants from Kebbi State.

“President Tinubu cannot be vacationing in Paris while President Macron is in New York representing France and expect Nigerians to accept that it is okay for their President to continue to hang around in a country after the host has left to attend to more important things,” the party stated.
The ADC has formally challenged the Presidency and the National Assembly to clarify who is currently exercising executive powers and under what constitutional provision.
