The announcement comes weeks after the 42-year-old actress was reportedly assaulted by her husband and subsequently hospitalised following the incident.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The fashion personality later confirmed the alleged assault, disclosing that the police were investigating the matter.

The Ghana Police Service also revealed that her husband, Norman, had not been arraigned over the alleged domestic violence case because his hospitalisation delayed the process.

On Friday, October 30, Addo made her first public appearance since the incident as she walked the runway at Lagos Fashion Week.

The German-born Ghanaian actress and model featured in a show by fashion designer Sevonda Jana, where she closed the presentation in a wedding gown.

She later explained that the outfit carried a personal message, symbolising the end of a chapter in her marriage and the beginning of a new phase in her life.

In a post on Instagram, the mother of two wrote:

“Last night, I walked into my moment and gave the runway a finale to remember. I closed the show in a wedding gown, just as I closed a chapter in my own story.

“Perhaps there is something beautiful about endings, new beginnings and the courage to embrace both. Closing @sevondejana at Lagos Fashion Week 2026 was more than a walk for me. That statement truly had to be made. Some chapters end, but the woman always remains the story.”

‘Please Forgive Me’ – Doris Ogala Kneels In Court, Says She Has Never Been To Prison

Published

on

Nollywood actress Doris Ogala knelt before the court on Friday and apologised for her conduct during an earlier sitting.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Ogala is facing charges bordering on alleged cyberstalking, cyberbullying and attempted extortion involving Pastor Chris Okafor.

The actress, who was remanded at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre after her arraignment on Wednesday, appealed to the court, expressing regret over her actions and saying she never imagined she would end up in prison custody.

Appearing before Justice Akintayo Aluko, Ogala promised that she would not repeat the behaviour that disrupted proceedings at the previous sitting.

“I am very sorry, my Lord. I apologise for my bad behaviour. I have never been to prison before and I wasn’t expecting that I would do that.

“I regret my actions and I apologise to my Lord. I tender my apologies wholeheartedly. Sorry, this will never happen again going forward,” she said.

Her apology came after the judge expressed displeasure over her conduct on Wednesday, when she was remanded. Ogala allegedly shouted and sang inside the courtroom, disrupting proceedings and forcing the court to adjourn.

Justice Aluko said her behaviour prevented the court from attending to more than seven other cases scheduled for that day.

The judge disclosed that he had considered committing the actress for contempt but decided against it, despite believing that her conduct deserved punishment.

“She should have been given some form of imprisonment, right, on that day, but I kept my cool and I rose,” he said.

Aluko added that Ogala could have been sentenced to at least two months in prison for obstructing court proceedings.

Expressing his displeasure, the judge questioned why the actress had chosen to shout and sing in the courtroom, noting that her conduct forced the court to rise and had been officially recorded.

He also criticised the defence counsel for failing to acknowledge the incident and explain his client’s behaviour before commencing arguments on the bail application.

The judge recalled that he had personally directed that the bail application be given accelerated consideration, taking steps to ensure it would be heard within 48 hours.

He said he was disappointed that the disruption occurred despite the court’s efforts to handle the matter promptly.

Ogala’s lawyer, Marshal Abubakar, also apologised to the judge, describing the incident as regrettable. He assured the court that such behaviour was not characteristic of his client.

Abubakar said he had known Ogala for some time and was surprised by her conduct.

Following the apologies, the court proceeded to hear arguments on the actress’s bail application.

Moving the application, Abubakar urged the court to grant his client bail, arguing that the prosecution had effectively acknowledged her entitlement to bail by proposing conditions for her release in its counter-affidavit.

He maintained that the prosecution was not opposed to her release but was concerned about the conditions under which she would be granted bail.

The defence counsel also cited judicial authorities to argue that bail conditions should be reasonable and must not undermine an accused person’s right to liberty while awaiting trial.

However, the prosecution, led by Tolulope Mokolu, urged the court to impose stringent bail conditions, particularly because of concerns surrounding Ogala’s social media activities.

The prosecution argued that her continued use of social media could influence witnesses and interfere with the administration of justice.

Mokolu acknowledged that the defendant had constitutional rights to freedom of speech and expression but maintained that those rights were not absolute and must be exercised within the limits of the law.

After listening to arguments from both parties, Justice Aluko reserved ruling on the bail application until November 6, 2026.

Ogala was subsequently returned to the Kirikiri Correctional Centre, where she will remain pending the court’s decision on her bail application.

Tacha Sets The Record Straight After Fans Mistake Her Chest Tattoo For Davido’s Face

Reality TV star and former Big Brother Naija housemate, Tacha Akide, has addressed the controversy surrounding a tattoo she once had, which many people believed was the face of Afrobeats singer Davido.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The entrepreneur clarified that the tattoo was never an image of Davido but rather the face of a child, explaining that the misunderstanding stemmed from misinformation.

Speaking during an appearance on the Thanks For Coming Podcast, Tacha said she eventually covered the tattoo because she believes people grow, change and move on from certain things.

She added that correcting the public’s perception would have made little difference because many people had already accepted the false impression as the truth.

She said: “The tattoo wasn’t Davido’s face, it was a kid’s face, but people thought it was Davido, and I covered it because people grow. It was misinformation. Even if I cleared the air, people would still run with it. I covered it because people grow.”

In a related development, Tacha recently advised the organisers of the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality show to consider taking a break from the programme and developing fresh ideas to attract viewers.

She argued that the show needed a new approach to remain relevant, noting that social media had significantly changed the way Nigerians consume entertainment.

According to Akide, BBNaija gained popularity at a time when social media did not wield the level of influence it commands today.

She maintained that online platforms have become major sources of entertainment, making it necessary for television programmes to adopt new strategies to sustain audience interest.

Fresh Twist In Mohbad’s Case As Family Challenges Secrecy Surrounding Liam’s DNA Test.

The family of late Afrobeats singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has opposed plans to send samples from his son, Liam, to an unidentified laboratory in the United States for a DNA test.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The family is demanding that the identity of the laboratory be made public and that the sample collection scheduled for Saturday at Mainland General Hospital/IDH, Yaba, Lagos, be suspended pending clarification.

The head of the family, Samuel Aloba, raised the concerns in a statement issued on Thursday.

According to the family, a court order dated May 5, 2026, specifically designated the Lagos State DNA and Forensic Centre to conduct the DNA test.

The family questioned whether the centre would carry out the examination itself or merely collect the samples before sending them to another laboratory abroad.

“This raises a fundamental question that must be answered before the exercise proceeds: Is the Lagos State DNA and Forensic Centre itself going to conduct the examination contemplated by the court, or is it merely going to collect and dispatch samples to another laboratory?” the statement read.

The family maintained that no party should change the arrangement contained in an existing court order without first seeking clarification from the court.

It also demanded the name and address of the proposed US laboratory, evidence of its accreditation and professional competence, as well as comprehensive details of how the samples would be handled from collection to analysis.

Additionally, the family requested assurances that the samples collected in Lagos would be properly documented and that their identity could be verified throughout the process to ensure they were the same samples examined by the foreign laboratory.

Addressing suggestions that the laboratory’s identity could be disclosed only to the court, the family argued that confidentiality should not come at the expense of transparency and accountability.
