“APC All The Way” – Aiyedatiwa Takes Clear Position On Wike’s Rainbow Coalition.

Published

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has clarified his position on the Rainbow Coalition, saying he has no disagreement with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, or the political platform associated with him.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Wike, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has been linked to the Rainbow Coalition, a cross-party political platform backing President Bola Tinubu’s bid for re-election in 2027.

The development has, however, attracted opposition from the Progressives Governors Forum (PGF), which has criticised the cross-party arrangement involving members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), arguing that such alliances could affect Tinubu’s re-election campaign.

Despite the criticism, Wike has repeatedly expressed his support for Tinubu’s second-term bid, maintaining that ensuring the President’s victory in the 2027 presidential election remains a major political priority for him.

Speaking during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Monday, Aiyedatiwa said he maintains a cordial relationship with Wike but made it clear that his political loyalty in Ondo State remains firmly with the APC.

The governor, however, said he saw nothing wrong with the existence of the Rainbow Coalition, stressing that political relationships are often shaped by interests, alliances and associations.

Aiyedatiwa compared the coalition to other support groups working to promote Tinubu’s re-election, arguing that there was nothing unusual about such a platform if its primary objective was to support the President.

He said:

“In my state, it is APC all the way, that does not mean that I don’t have relationship with Wike. I don’t have any problem with Wike.

“Politics is about interest, relationships, alliances if you like. So, Rainbow Coalition being led by His Excellency Honourable Minister Nyesom Wike, there is nothing wrong in having coalition or alliances, it’s all about interests, who wants to be part of that, you choose.

“There is freedom of association of being a member of one group, coalition or another just as we have a lot of support groups supporting the president. So, if Rainbow Coalition is also in form of a support group too for the president, what is wrong in that, nothing.”

FG Reveals How $500m Was Raised For Murtala Muhammed Airport Reconstruction

Published

The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has disclosed that the $500 million allocated for the reconstruction of the old terminal at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, was sourced from proceeds following the removal of the fuel subsidy.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Keyamo made the disclosure on Monday in Lagos during the 67th anniversary celebration of Aero Contractors.

According to the minister, the removal of the subsidy improved liquidity and contributed to an increase in the country’s foreign reserves, enabling the Federal Government to raise the funds within less than two years.

He said years of subsidy regimes had placed significant pressure on government finances and contributed to the deterioration of critical infrastructure across the country.

Keyamo explained that the Federal Government’s decision to remove fuel and foreign exchange subsidies had created greater fiscal space for investment and infrastructure development, particularly in the aviation sector.

He said the government had mobilised funds for several major aviation projects, including the ongoing reconstruction of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos and runway rehabilitation projects in Kano, Port Harcourt and Akure.

The minister noted that the Lagos airport reconstruction project had also created employment opportunities for thousands of Nigerians working in construction and related services.

According to him, sustainable economic growth depends on continuous investment in infrastructure, while job creation can be driven by major development projects and expansion of the private sector.

Speaking on reforms in the aviation industry, Keyamo highlighted measures designed to strengthen local airlines. These include Nigeria’s implementation of the Cape Town Convention and the establishment of the International Registry system, which he said would improve Nigerian airlines’ access to aircraft leasing.

He added that the reforms were already encouraging more states to establish airlines and expand regional operations, citing the growth of routes operated by carriers such as Ibom Air and Enugu-based operators.

Keyamo also announced plans to improve connectivity to airports, including a proposed extension of the Lagos Red Line rail system to connect Ikeja with the General Aviation Terminal and the new international terminal at Murtala Muhammed Airport.

“I Can’t Date Nollywood Actresses” – Hanks Anuku Reveals His Reason.

Published

Veteran Nollywood actor Hanks Anuku has revealed that he would rather date someone outside the Nigerian movie industry than pursue a romantic relationship with a Nollywood actress.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Anuku made this known while speaking on the Honest Bunch Podcast, where he discussed his reservations about relationships within the entertainment industry.

The actor said he had become uncomfortable with some of the lifestyle and activities associated with the industry, making him reluctant to date anyone working in the sector.

According to Anuku, the prevalence of flirtation and the changing process through which some people gain entry into Nollywood have made it difficult for him to determine who he can trust when choosing a partner.

The veteran actor also expressed concerns about how individuals now secure opportunities in the movie industry.

He recalled that actors in his early years had to undergo certain screening processes before gaining recognition, but said the situation has changed, with some people now getting opportunities through personal connections with producers.

“I’m not going to go out with anyone in the industry; I would rather go look for a stranger somewhere else. There are certain things in that industry. The flirts are everywhere, and when a woman is a flirt, you’re not sure if she’s clean or not,” Anuku said.

He added, “I thank God I don’t have any disease from whatever it is. It’s a bit too dirty for me now to go out with anyone over there, because everybody can come up and say, ‘I want to be an actress,’ because she knows somebody who is a producer. If a woman is clean, you would know.”
