Speaking during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Friday, Sani cautioned individuals currently holding political office to always remember that power is transient. “When you are in office, always remind yourself that it is an opportunity, and it is a very temporary opportunity for you. El-Rufai is paying the price for his irresponsibility when he was in public office,” Sani stated.

This internal political clash follows harsh criticism from NDC National Leader, Senator Seriake Dickson, who dismissed the movement’s campaign council as “nonsensical.” Presidential candidate Peter Obi reinforced this stance, arguing that support groups must not usurp the party’s official role.

In a strong rebuttal, OK Movement Director General, John Ughulu, asserted the group’s complete political and financial independence. Ughulu emphasized that the movement does not rely on Obi or the NDC for funding, stating, “Consequently, the movement does not and has not required any financial support from His Excellency, Peter Obi… to establish or operate its own organisational structure.”
