Amupitan pointed out that the commission oversees presidential, national assembly, governorship, and state assembly elections, alongside voter registration and party management. Because these responsibilities span all three tiers of government, election funding and security must be treated as a collective national responsibility.

Addressing the crowd in Hausa, the minister noted that backing the ticket should stem from deep religious conviction rather than financial or political incentives. Matawalle went a step further, telling the audience that remaining steadfast in their support offers spiritual reassurance, asserting that even passing away while pursuing this political goal would be met with divine favor due to their pure intentions.
