• Announcement Details: The results were announced on Thursday by NECO Registrar Prof. Dantana Wushishi at the Council’s headquarters in Minna, Niger State, exactly 54 days after the final paper.

• Registration and Turnout: Out of 1,378,048 registered candidates, 1,371,992 actually sat for the examination, consisting of 678,903 males and 693,089 females.

• Performance Breakdown: A total of 804,948 candidates (58.67%) achieved five credits and above including Mathematics and English Language, while 1,162,118 candidates (84.70%) secured five credits and above irrespective of English and Mathematics.

• Drop in Malpractice: Examination malpractices dropped significantly by 64.74%, with 1,406 candidates involved this year compared to 3,878 in 2025.

• Special Needs Candidates: A total of 1,334 candidates with special needs sat for the exam, covering various conditions including visual and hearing impairments, autism, and albinism.

• Global Reach: The exams were conducted across the 36 states, the FCT, and six foreign countries—including Saudi Arabia, Niger Republic, and Togo.
