The Ultimate Fashion Storm: Peter Obi’s Wife Sparks Massive National Outrage Over Jaw-Dropping N200M Luxury Handbag!.
A luxury handbag reportedly carried by Margaret Obi, wife of the 2027 Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has ignited a firestorm on social media.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The controversy began after a video circulated online showing Margaret with a handbag identified by users as a Hermès Kelly 35 in Malachite. Online commentators estimate the bag’s value at approximately N237 million. This high price tag has drawn varied reactions from Nigerians, with some condemning the purchase as excessive, while others defend her right to buy what she can afford.
Public figures have also weighed in on the debate. Lere Olayinka, media aide to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, criticized Peter Obi for projecting a modest public image that contrasts with his family’s reported lifestyle. In a post on X, Olayinka argued that it is hypocritical for Obi to solicit campaign donations from ordinary citizens while his wife carries a handbag worth the equivalent of 250,000 of those donations. He stated, “If as a private citizen, the wife of a supposed prudent man can buy a single bag worth over N250m, you can do a guess as to the cost of bags she will buy with public funds.”
Popular media personality Daddy Freeze also commented, stating that he has no issue with Margaret Obi owning a luxury bag, given her husband’s status as a billionaire. However, he questioned Peter Obi’s oft-repeated claims of owning only one pair of shoes and a single wristwatch, suggesting a discrepancy between his declared extreme modesty and his actual lifestyle. “The only problem I have with him is he says he only has one shoe and one watch, but when you put yourself in a certain light, and things around you don’t seem to add to that light, there is a problem,” he said in a video.
Human rights lawyer Deji Adeyanju, however, dismissed the criticism as “unnecessary,” noting that Peter Obi is “very rich.” While not seeing an issue with the bag itself, Adeyanju pointed out that the public backlash is rooted in the perception of a performative and deceptive political image. “There’s really nothing wrong in the woman carrying this bag but they have deceived so many people about not giving shishi that many Nigerians are disgusted by their lifestyle,” he wrote on X. “Be yourself Mr. Obi and stop the drama and acting.”

The Ultimate Prohibition: Ondo Govt Drops Heavy Hammer, Banning Unverified Alcoholic Drinks After Tragic Wave Of 30 Deaths!
The Ondo State Government has announced an immediate, statewide ban on the sale and distribution of all unverified alcoholic drinks and similar substances.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
This directive follows a tragic incident in the Odigbo Local Government Area, where approximately 30 people died after consuming a locally brewed herbal alcoholic mixture known as ‘monkey tail.’ An additional 50 individuals were hospitalized, prompting the swift government intervention to prevent further loss of life.
State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Idowu Ajanaku, confirmed the ban in a statement, emphasizing that the measure is necessary to contain the crisis and protect residents from potentially lethal products. The ban specifically targets alcoholic drinks and other substances sold in sachets, bottles, or other forms whose origin, ingredients, or regulatory approval cannot be established.
Ajanaku stated that the Ministry of Health has launched a full investigation into the toxic substance. Scientific officers have been deployed to the affected communities to identify the exact compound responsible for the fatalities. “Under the leadership of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, the government is leaving no stone unturned in the efforts to unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident, protect the lives of our people and prevent further casualties,” the statement read.
The government has strongly cautioned the public against purchasing or consuming any alcoholic beverage whose authenticity is questionable. It specifically highlighted the risk of consuming products in sachets or bottles that lack certification from the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC).
Traders and distributors have been ordered to immediately halt the purchase, sale, and distribution of any product that cannot be verified. The government warned that violators would face prosecution and the full force of the law. Security agencies across the state have been directed to commence immediate enforcement actions to seize and remove illegal products from circulation.
Residents are advised to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious products, vendors, or distribution activities to the relevant authorities. “Protecting lives and safeguarding public health remains a collective responsibility,” the government added, urging public cooperation with health officials and security forces during the ongoing investigation.
