PHILANTHROPY POWER: Kayode Akinmade Praises Oluremi Tinubu’s Massive N10m Gift!.
The most profound moments in a nation’s life rarely happen under floodlights. They happen quietly—in the spark of a classroom discovery, the focus of a young inventor, or the lines drawn in a child’s sketchbook.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The tragedy for Nigeria is not the scarcity of talent, but how often that talent goes unseen, unsupported, and is eventually extinguished by circumstance. This is why the story of 12-year-old Morenikeji Ebunoluwa Joshua is not just a heart-warming tale; it is a masterclass in what true, purposeful philanthropy can achieve.
It began on August 18, 2026, in Abeokuta. Young Joshua, an artist, presented the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, with a portrait he had painted of her. The painting captured her attention, but the First Lady saw something more: a child of extraordinary promise. In a gesture as powerful as the gift itself, she stopped to see him.
Inviting Joshua to the podium, she pledged ₦10 million to support his education. Crucially, less than a month later, that pledge became a reality. She did not stop at the applause. She established a structured Education Development Trust Fund, with an account specifically preserved for his educational needs through tertiary level. This is the vital distinction between a promise that generates good PR and a promise that changes a life.
A Chain of Public Good
Joshua’s story also highlights the cumulative nature of successful interventions. Three years prior, Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, recognized Joshua’s early talent at an exhibition and awarded him a scholarship covering his primary and secondary education.
Governor Abiodun laid the foundation, and Senator Tinubu extended the bridge to the tertiary level. This sequence—private recognition, early institutional support, and sustained high-level commitment—is how a child, otherwise constrained by circumstance, is given the confidence and opportunity to imagine a much larger future.
It tells the child: Your talent matters. Your circumstances do not define your destiny. And most importantly, society has not forgotten you.
The Power of Purposeful Philanthropy
We must ensure this story is not merely admired and forgotten. Nigeria is full of Joshuas—brilliant, creative children in rural classrooms, underserved schools, and roadside workshops. Their greatest disadvantage is often not a lack of ability, but simply that nobody has seen them, or that someone saw them but did nothing.
Purposeful philanthropy changes that equation. It is not random charity; it is the deliberate conversion of private means into public hope. It identifies genuine need, recognizes measurable potential, and creates a structure that allows the beneficiary to grow with dignity.
The trust fund created for Joshua is instructive because it goes beyond a cash gift. A cheque may open a door, but education, mentoring, and sustained encouragement are what help a young person walk through that door and thrive.
Nation-Building Through Generosity
Not everyone can give ₦10 million. But everyone blessed with influence, knowledge, access, or resources can do something.
One person can pay exam fees. A business can equip a lab. A professional can mentor a promising youth. Diaspora Nigerians can adopt community projects. Sometimes, it requires only a word of encouragement, a useful introduction, or the opening of one small door, which can change the trajectory of an entire life.
Corporate organizations should also move beyond occasional publicity-driven donations and make talent development a core component of their social responsibility. Imagine the possibilities if every prosperous Nigerian supported one deserving child.
Security is also deeply tied to this conversation. A society that gives its young people education, dignity, and a legitimate path to success strengthens their sense of belonging and reduces despair, making them less susceptible to exploitation, crime, and extremism.
While government retains the primary responsibility for welfare, philanthropy can complement public policy by responding quickly, personally, and creatively to individual circumstances.
The portrait painted by young Joshua captured a face. The generosity it inspired will now help redraw his life. There is profound meaning in that sequence. A child picked up a brush, and in the process, painted a new chapter for himself and offered an example for the entire nation.
Let those who have the means look around their communities. Let them find a Joshua waiting to be seen, a dream waiting to be protected, and a life waiting for one decisive intervention. Because when generosity is joined with discernment and fidelity to a promise, philanthropy becomes an investment in human potential—and that is how a nation builds its future.

STUNNING REVELATION: Lamine Camara Exposes The Truth Behind His Failed Chelsea Transfer!
Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara has stated that he has “turned the page” on his collapsed £47.1 million transfer to Chelsea, shifting his full attention toward helping Monaco sustain their impressive start to the Ligue 1 season.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Inside the Collapsed Deal
The 22-year-old Senegal international had already completed a medical ahead of the proposed blockbuster move before the deal dramatically fell apart shortly before the transfer window closed.
Prior to the breakdown, Monaco had rejected two initial bids from Chelsea before lowering their asking price amidst a turbulent finish to the window, particularly as Folarin Balogun’s proposed move to Everton faced uncertainty. Once Balogun’s exit appeared likely to proceed, Monaco reconsidered letting Camara go. Ultimately, despite widespread reports that the club needed a major summer sale, both players stayed put in France.
Commenting on the dramatic close of the window ahead of Monaco’s match against Strasbourg, Camara noted:
“There was a possibility I could leave. It didn’t go through at the last minute and that’s part of football. I’ve turned the page and am focusing on the season.”
Looking Ahead at Monaco
While a Monaco source had previously emphasized that the club demanded a substantial fee for the midfielder—with French outlets noting a preference to cash in on Balogun instead—Camara has already embedded himself in Monaco’s strong start to the new campaign. The team won their opening three Ligue 1 fixtures, sitting second behind Rennes with a game in hand heading into the weekend.
Confident about his current standing and future, Camara concluded:
“I can help the team a lot. Football moves fast. Maybe other opportunities will come along. But for now, I’m staying focused on the season with Mo.”

ATIKU’S BOMBSHELL: Nigeria Will Refine Crude Oil At Rock-Bottom Costs If I’m Elected President!
Former Vice President and African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has promised that his administration will ensure crude oil is refined locally at a reduced cost if he is elected president.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
According to Atiku, Nigerians will enjoy lower fuel prices because production will happen domestically through in-country refineries. Sharing his economic vision in a post on X, he drew an analogy using local manufacturing:
“Think about shoes. If government wants Nigerians to buy shoes more cheaply, it can spend public money making imported shoes cheaper, or it can support shoemakers in Aba to reduce their production costs so they can make more shoes here, employ more Nigerians and sell at more affordable prices.”
He added, “I chose the Aba shoemaker. I will do the same with fuel. We will support crude refined in Nigeria so our refineries can produce at a lower cost and you can pay less.”
A Broader Vision for Economic Relief
Atiku emphasized that his policy goals extend far beyond fuel prices, aiming to lower the overall cost of living and ease economic burdens for everyday citizens.
-
Lower Transport and Food Costs: He stated an ambition to reduce daily commuter bus fares and cut down the transport costs of moving food items from farms to local markets.
-
Support for Small Businesses: The former Vice President promised to ease energy burdens for ordinary business owners, including traders, barbers, tailors, and welders.
-
Direct Impact: Concluding his pledge, Atiku said, “My promise is personal: I want you to feel relief in your pocket, in your home and in your daily life. I will make life affordable again. I will make Nigeria affordable again. It is a promise.”
