“Military Apologists”: Omoyele Sowore Drops Bombshell Branding Peter Obi And Datti As “Abacha Boys”

Published

on

African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore has publicly branded Peter Obi, Datti Baba-Ahmed, and the broader Labour Party circle as military apologists with historical ties to past military regimes. During an interview on ARISE Television on Tuesday, Sowore claimed that these political figures frequently seek validation from retired military generals and labeled them as political associates of past military rulers, specifically referencing ties to figures like Sani Abacha and Ibrahim Babangida.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Sowore further argued that political opposition to President Bola Tinubu is often superficial, pointing to interactions he witnessed firsthand at a 2023 peace accord signing event. Describing how opposition figures warmly interacted with Tinubu behind the scenes despite aggressive public rhetoric, Sowore recounted:

“I met Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed for the first time during a peace agreement signing event in 2023. I was sitting next to him while he was occupying the seat meant for Peter Obi. Next to me was Tinubu, who is now president. When Tinubu walked in, and Datti was calling Tinubu ‘Uncle.’ He was almost kneeling down for Tinubu. I was looking at his conduct right there, comparing it to what was going on on the internet regarding how they were discussing Tinubu as a terrible candidate. I said to myself, these guys are presenting a double-faced, Janus-faced persona to the public. I am not saying that Tinubu is not his uncle or that he shouldn’t respect him, but that level of fawning around him showed me that these guys don’t have any real disagreement with Tinubu. Eventually, Peter Obi also arrived. When the event was over, I stood up and left. I didn’t greet Tinubu; I just left. I looked back five seconds later, and all of the guys we held meetings with who were busy in public were lined up Peter Obi, Dan Nwanyanwu, all of them were lining up to greet him. I thought, am I seeing a different set of candidates who, when we go to meetings as presidential candidates, speak about how to defeat Tinubu, how they have no respect for him, and discuss all kinds of things about him? Yet here we are, right in front of the world, and this same Tinubu has all of them queuing up just to have a handshake with him. I was the only one who didn’t wait behind.”

“We Are Not Surrendering!”: Atiku, Peter Obi, And Seyi Makinde Send Tremors Through Opposition With Defiant Stand!

Published

Efforts by the G-100 coalition to forge a united single-ticket ahead of the 2027 general elections have encountered friction, as major presidential hopefuls—Atiku Abubakar of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Peter Obi of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), and Seyi Makinde of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM)—have resisted stepping down for a consensus candidate.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Despite opposition leaders previously convening at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja for the G-100 Alliance Summit to build a formidable front against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Bola Tinubu, none of the three primary contenders have signaled a willingness to withdraw. Instead, each camp maintains that its principal is best positioned to lead.

Addressing the deadlock, G-100 coalition member Umanu Elijah expressed optimism that ongoing back-channel negotiations and cross-party consultations—highlighted by Peter Obi’s recent meeting with Seyi Makinde—would yield a finalized consensus choice before September 30.

Meanwhile, representatives from the respective camps have clarified their stances:

  • Atiku Abubakar’s Camp: An insider close to the former Vice President noted that while Atiku remains open to dialogue as a statesman, he will actively contest the 2027 ballot, emphasizing that his earlier coalition efforts laid the groundwork for the ADC.

  • Peter Obi / NDC: National Publicity Secretary Osa Director confirmed that while the party is actively participating in coalition talks, they believe Obi’s popularity and credibility make him uniquely qualified to emerge as the consensus option without surrendering their competitive edge.

  • Seyi Makinde / APM: National Publicity Secretary Abubakar Yusuf asserted that the Oyo State governor is running a serious campaign geared toward victory rather than a mere placeholder run, maintaining that Makinde remains firmly in the race while discussions continue.

“Total War Declared!”: Isaac Fayose Drops Nuclear Bombshell, Threatening Fire For Fire Over Vicious Attack On Peter Obi!

Businessman Isaac Fayose has heavily criticized Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate Peter Obi following the recent disruption of his convoy by suspected thugs in Benue State. In a video shared on his verified Facebook page, Fayose expressed deep disappointment that Obi chose to depart for Plateau State rather than complete his intended humanitarian visit to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

While affirming that every Nigerian possesses the right to travel freely across the country, Fayose argued that Obi’s characteristic gentleness could cost him the presidency in 2027. He asserted that unseating President Bola Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) demands a much tougher, uncompromising stance, famously declaring:

“If they bring thugs, we bring our own thugs. Thugs for thugs, fire for fire, trouble for trouble. If we are playing this gentleman’s game, we’re going to lose our election.”

Fayose warned that other state governors might feel emboldened to replicate such blockades if the opposition continues to respond with passivity.
