Obi’s declaration follows his participation in a well-attended town hall meeting in Port Harcourt on Thursday, where he was hosted by the NDC’s Rivers State governorship candidate, Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs, as part of the party’s “Obi-Talks” engagement series. Describing the event as a vital platform for open dialogue, Obi noted that the conversation centered on critical issues directly impacting the lives of Nigerians, including the economy, security, job creation, healthcare, and education.
Reaffirming his core developmental agenda, the former Anambra State governor stressed his commitment to prioritizing investment in three essential sectors for national progress: education, healthcare, and poverty alleviation.
Reflecting on the enthusiasm witnessed at the town hall, Obi expressed confidence in a massive turnout from the people of Rivers State in 2027, coupled with a collective determination to ensure electoral integrity.
