The public feud between Bashir El-Rufai and his elder brother, House of Representatives member Mohammed Bello El-Rufai—sons of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai—has escalated further after Bashir issued a direct threat to destroy him.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Taking to X on Saturday, Bashir launched an attack on his brother, who represents Kaduna North Federal Constituency, and accused him of drug abuse. Although the precise catalyst remains unclear, the conflict is believed to stem from Bello’s political alignments in Kaduna State. In a subsequent post, Bashir explicitly wrote, “I will destroy you & climb my bed and sleep peacefully”.

The public outburst drew immediate concern from observers. Politician Uche Rochas cautioned Bashir in the comments that trying to ruin his own brother would only drag their family name through the mud and self-destruct his own reputation, prompting Bashir to unrepentantly reply, “Sorry sir. Had to be said”. Another user, Dr. Ibrahim Yaji, similarly condemned the threats, stating he could never trust someone who would treat their own blood in such a manner. Bashir dismissed the criticism, telling the user that they likely grew up with a good brother.
