Former Senate President Bukola Saraki is reportedly throwing his support behind President Bola Tinubu’s second-term ambitions, despite serving as a prominent leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) within Kwara State. This political dynamic came to light when Saliu Mustapha, the Senator representing Kwara Central, addressed the issue during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today program.                                                                                                               When questioned about whether his own switch from the All Progressives Congress to the PDP implied an alignment with Saraki, Mustapha acknowledged Saraki’s stature as the state PDP leader but pointed out that the former governor is not pursuing any elective office himself.                                                                                                                                                       According to the Kwara lawmaker, Saraki is backing the broader political framework known as the Rainbow Coalition, which is aligned with bolstering President Tinubu’s re-election prospects. Mustapha drew a parallel between Saraki’s current political positioning and that of other prominent figures within the opposition landscape who maintain complex alignments regarding the federal administration. Furthermore, Mustapha emphasized that his own transition into the PDP should not be misconstrued as an automatic posture of hostility toward the sitting presidency, underscoring the fluid and strategic nature of political alliances as various stakeholders position themselves ahead of future political engagements.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
