Peller made the revelation while clarifying that the proposed interaction with the former Anambra State governor should not be viewed as an endorsement of any presidential candidate.

The content creator explained that Obi had expressed interest in appearing on his platform for a livestream, although he did not disclose when the session would take place.

Peller also distanced himself from political campaigning, stressing that hosting Obi would not mean he was encouraging his followers or fans to vote for the politician.

According to the streamer, his intention is simply to engage Obi in a livestream where his audience would have the opportunity to ask questions.

Speaking during a livestream on Wednesday night, Peller said he was excited after receiving the request from the former governor.

“I woke up this morning smiling. Peter Obi reached out to me that he want to do a livestream with me. Before you people get the wrong idea, I’m not promoting any Presidential Candidate, and I’m not asking you to vote for Peter Obi. I just want to stream with him on my platform,” he stated.

The secretariat of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of Edo State has been attacked by suspected thugs.
The incident, which was reported on Wednesday, occurred barely a week after suspected thugs allegedly attacked supporters of the party in Enugu State, leaving one person dead.
Recall that the Enugu State chapter of the NDC confirmed the death of one of its members, Nworie Christopher, who was reportedly shot during an attack on the party’s campaign office in the Government Reserved Area of Enugu.
Christopher, a native of Affa in Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State, died from gunshot injuries sustained during the incident on October 10, 2026.
According to the party, the deceased was among its supporters allegedly attacked by armed thugs during a gathering at the campaign office of its governorship candidate, Christian Chinyeaka Ohaa.
Unlike the Enugu incident, no deaths had been reported in the latest attack in Edo State as of the time of filing this report. However, a video circulating online showed damage to property at the party’s secretariat.
The latest incident has raised fresh concerns among civil society organisations and political commentators over the reported attacks on political party offices. They warned that continued violence could threaten the credibility of the electoral process if left unchecked.
In the video showing the vandalised office, a woman accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of being responsible for the attack.
“The last one happened in Enugu, where one person died. Now they have brought it to Edo. APC, your end is here,” she said.
The circumstances surrounding the attack and the identity of those responsible were not established in the report.

The Minister of Power, Joseph Tegbe, disclosed this at an energy conference in Lagos, stating that the government was preparing to begin the procurement process for the projects.

According to the minister, Nigerians could begin to experience the benefits of the planned grid expansion within the next two to three years.

He explained that the initiative forms part of broader efforts to strengthen electricity transmission infrastructure and improve the reliability of power supply across the country.

Tegbe said the government had divided Nigeria into three energy zones to identify areas requiring urgent intervention and ensure that available resources were directed towards the most critical challenges.

“We have clustered Nigeria into three energy zones. The first one is the one that demands 50 per cent. If you fix Lagos and you fix the Abuja corridors, you’ve solved more than half of the problem of Nigeria. Because you can’t do that alone based on operational efficiency, you also have to build out your grid.

“The President has approved that we commence the process of building out the grid: East and Western grid. We’re going through the procurement process, but it’s something you’ll see the benefits in two to three years,” the minister said.

He also revealed that the government had commenced a nationwide technical audit of the electricity transmission infrastructure to identify specific problems and determine the appropriate solutions.

Tegbe explained that the assessment would help the government avoid spending resources on the wrong repairs, noting that different faults require different technical interventions.

“We have started a technical audit across the entire country to say where do we have issues, and what issues specifically do we have. I don’t want to fix transformer issues where I have conductor and relay problems. I don’t want to fix insulators where the challenges I actually have are towers. So, we will finish that technical audit in the next couple of weeks. When we finish it, we then target our prioritised areas,” he stated.

The minister acknowledged that the government had inherited longstanding challenges in the power sector, some of which date back several decades.

He said his experience before taking office had given him a different perspective on the difficulties facing the industry, particularly the ageing transmission infrastructure.

“This government has inherited a problem of 50 years. Before I became the Minister of Power, honestly, I used to think that everybody in the power sector just didn’t know their left from right. But the reality is, some of the towers have gone down with some of the transmission lines there,” Tegbe said.

He added that during a visit to one of the affected sites, he observed transmission infrastructure bearing the logo of the Electricity Corporation of Nigeria (ECN), an organisation that existed before the National Electric Power Authority (NEPA).

“When I went to the site, I saw some of them carrying the logo of ECN. Many people in this room might not know what ECN is. ECN predated NEPA. So, some of these things were built 50 years ago. That is the reality,” he said.

The minister maintained that the technical audit would help the government prioritise critical areas for intervention as it works towards modernising the national grid and reducing the frequency of power system failures.
